These rules cover Friends Tourneys. The Public Game arrives soon.

3

Rounds & Deadlines

Up to 6 rounds. Each round you pick one team. Every round has a deadline, shown in the game — it's 15 minutes before that round's first kick-off. Miss it and you're auto-assigned (see your Tourney's rules).
4

Points

Points reward risk. The bigger the favourite, the more likely it wins — so backing a strong favourite is safe but earns the fewest points. Backing a riskier underdog earns the most if it comes off. A toss-up sits in between.

The gold bar is win points — safe picks least, underdogs most. And underdogs even earn points on a draw. (No exact odds shown.)

5

Survival & Elimination

SurviveA win always puts you through, and a draw survives — you stay in for another round.
OutExcept on a favourite: if you backed the favourite and it only draws, you're out. A loss is always out.
Eliminated? You're done — unless you've earned a Second Chance.
6

How To Win

Be the Final Standing at any point. If you're the last one left, you win outright. If more than one player is still standing after Round 6, the players tied on the most points share the Pot — up to the number of winners the Manager set. Only when morethan that are tied does the Manager's tiebreak choice decide (below).
7

Tiebreak Rules

If more than one player survives to the end, the Pot is settled in two steps:

1
The Top Points Share The Pot

The players tied on the most points share the Pot — up to the number of winners the Manager set for the Tourney.

2
If More Are Tied, The Manager's Choice Decides

If more players are tied on the top points than can share, the Manager's setting decides which way it goes:

Tiebreak · One Winner

The Merit Tiebreak Rules find a single winner (steps below).

No Winner · New Game

Nobody wins this time — the game rolls over to a fresh one.

Merit Tiebreak Rules

When the Manager picks One Winner, a single winner is found by working down these steps until one player is clear:

  1. 1Most points
  2. 2Highest score in any single round
  3. 3Most underdogs backed (bold picks count, whether they came off or not)
  4. 4The biggest underdog that came off — your least-likely team that actually won or earned a draw
  5. 5Didn't use a Second Chance

If players are still exactly level after all five, they share the Pot.

Either way: if you missed a deadline and were auto-assigned your final-round pick, you can't win the tiebreak.
